ok so this morning i finally decided to go and get smiths amazing cereal deal and use some coupons that expire sun.  not a totally planned trip more last min! this is what i came away with, and i am really excited! more because i got cereal that i know my mom loves (since she is comming out to help with baby in a week!) but one that i don't care about and it cost me next to nothing! i know i am soo thoughtful! ;)

this is so weird! i haven't blogged in like FOREVER!!!  i really miss it actually! but since our little point and shoot camera broke i haven't wanted to blog because i didn't have any pics... my heart is aching....

at church there is a couple of us ladies that all have kids around the same age.  in RS we all sit on the same row together week after week .  i love it! it is rather comforting to me, to know that there is a group of us that are going throught the same things.  we may not get together throughout the week and "hang-out" but i feel like we are still there for each other as a little mommy support system.  we have been gone the last couple weeks from our ward due to illness and vaca's.  this past sunday N asked T how things were going, and T started to get tearing eyed and said not good.  i was a little confused! obviously there was something wrong but i wasn't sure what.  last night greg got an email from the elders quarum regarding T and her family.  T's hubby had melanoma 7 1/2 yrs ago.  they did surgery and believed that they got all the cancer out.  recently (like the last month or so) it was confirmed that the cancer has returned and is spreading very quickly!  they treatment he is on gives him a 10% chance and that is the BEST case scenario! he is trying to get into a study treatment that is only offered in tx and md.  this treatment would give him a 25% chance BEST case scenario!

T and J have 2 kids. 4 and 1 yrs old.  J can't work and with all the medical bills things are adding up very quickly!!!  they are asking for prayers and any financial help everyone and anyone can give.  please visit their blog to learn more about this special family and how you can help! helpjonandtiffany.blogspot.com  you can also click on the button on my page to get a direct link.

*one that stands out is a porcelin doll face that my grandma had made from my baby picture, it matches a doll that i have made from the same baby picture, it truely is a one of a kind!

* thank goodness they are young enough to not really have one, but I HAVE ONE for them!!!  jax: chuck the talking truck, golf clubs, and educational toys and books.   grace: toys, glow worm, clothes.  she is growing to fast!

*i can't tell too much...but some scrapbook type thing, home decor

*it's begining to look alot like christmas! i can't help but get giddy and excited about christmas when i hear this song !!!

TRICK - OR -TREAT!!

while looking for costumes online for the kiddies i came across this lady bug costume that i thought would be SOO CUTE for grace! then i looked at the price... $65! and all it was was a red tulle dress with black dots!  i decided that i could totally make that!  so my search began for red tulle (ya you would thinki it was easy to find, not so much!) i finally found some and off to work i went creating grace's lady bug costume. the closer and closer it came to being complete the more excited i became knowing how darn stinking cute she would be! 

jax decided that he wanted to be a "rorer".  what the heck is a "rorer"???  it took me a while to figure out what he was talking about! he wanted to be a monster! a ROAR - er! silly boy! i then later figured out that anything that ROARED would be fine with him! so again my mind started racing on what he could be.....

my sis-in-law provided a great idea,  i could be snow white with my new hair color! i thought PERFECT! we are set for halloween! i had been asking greg for a MONTH what he wanted to be and he jsut blew it off.... every year it is the day of halloween and we are scrambling to throw together a costume and with 2 kids now, i did not want to do that!

so LONG story short.....thurs NIGHT! greg changed ALL that!!! he decided that jax and him should be elmer fudd and yo semmity sam  and i should be bugs bunny, and grace a carrott!  and we would NOT deviate from his "great" idea! so at the LAST minute this is what we came up with.......

We met up at M&T's house to go trick-or-treating with some old and new firends.  this year so so much fun with jax, he was starting to get the concept of tick-or-treating.  he usually said trick-or-treat! and thank you! very polite!  grace's little hands were getting cold so i put her in my costume and fell right asleep! for being so fast and running everywhere normally, jaxon was SO SLOW when it came to getting candy!we didn't hit as many house as i would have liked but it was taking FOREVER so we gave up and went back to M&T's for fun and socializing with everyone!

man does life carry us away at times! i have realized that FB has been my way of updating all of you on our life and have neglected our blog! and i have missed blogging! so here goes!

things have been very crazy and there is no sign of it letting up!  greg did find a job....he works for my cousin and his partners at their credit card machine business.  it is called CMS (complete merchant services) and he is their "tech" guy.  he delivers the machines and gets them set up.  he really likes it and the people he works for/with.  he is still looking for a therapy job but is also waiting to explore more opportunities at CMS.

jaxon is jsut a busy little bee!  he is non-stop as usual!  the colder weather has been a challange for us, because jax won't go outside much anymore unless greg or i am with him.  so he has a lot of built up energy!  he loves to play with his tractors, trailers, and animals.  he is always making gates for the animals to go through that lead to the fields.  he uses everything form cords to shoes to accomplish this! then he will periodically check on his cows!  then he will call either uncle todd or grandpa to make sure the got in the pickup, went through the gate, go to the field and check on the cows! these conversations happen several times a day as well!  he loves to color as well.  he thinks all colors are pink or blue.  jaxon LOVES to dance! everytime a commercial or show plays a song or the radio is on he DANCES! and shakes his body!  he is actually pretty good! he can move to the beat.  he is comming up with new moves all the time!  he was starting to potty train and then lost interest in in slowly over a couple week period, so we are back to the beginning again! jaxon's language is constanly entertaining! we have some pretty good conversations! lately his phrases/answeres consist of : yes i can!    i be good now! or i will listen now! (when asked to go to time out for misbehaving)  and then ,  yes it are, there it are etc.... he replaces "is" with "are" ! greg and i find this rather humorous!  we also have "discussions" on how words are pronounced.  a typical/ common one we have is  :    jax : mommy? can i have a bite-a-min ?
                 me : it is called a Vit-a-min
                 jax : no its not! its a Bite-a-min!! (yelling)
 then we repeat this untill either he gets really mad or i can't stop laughing!

jaxon really loves his baby sister! he is so helpful and loves to get me diapers, wipes, burp rags, or whatever i need for grace.  he loves to play with her and make her laugh!  he gets a little too aggressive at times and makes her cry but it is all done with love!

Grace is growing like a weed! she is getting so big!  everytime she eats all i can think is of  a movie where they say "i can hear you getting fatter!" that is how big she is getting! but it is SOOOO cute!  she is getting more interactive and fun.  i love that she is starting to discover things and her personality is showing more and more! 

as for me.... the boutique in st george that i did for  delila mae  went better then i thought so that is good! of couse i would have loved to sell more but it was a good start.  things are slowly going but they are going. i am always looking for ways and opportunities to get delila mae out there.  i know it will take some time to get things really going but i guess that is where i can practice being patient! heaven knows i could use it! although i have my bad days, i really do love being home with my babies and being part of the new things the do and say every day.  if only i could get more sleep i think i would have it made!

we have been sick for the last week or 2 so i am hoping that it ends soon!!! i hate this time of year for that purpose! and for the cold weather! we are all loving living in the same house as jen and wayland and all the kids! it has been a lot of fun!  jen and i joke that it is like pologamy only we have our own husbands! it is going to be a sad day when they move on and get "settled"

i am hoping that i will be able to make posts at least once a week, so stay tuned! 
we hope everyone is doing well and doesnt' get sick! (i know, wishful thinking!)

Grace at 4 months.....

WOW!  does time fly! i think it has flown by much faster this go round, and i think it is because grace was "needy" the first couple months so i didn't really enjoy her! and then all of a sudden she is getting cute and fun and is growing up!

in case you haven't seen grace's video on FB, she is now rolling over from tummy to back.  it usually only happens when she is mad and doesn't want to be on her tummy anymore, however she is rolling over a lot at night without a peep.  i don't know till i wake up and she is laying on her back just smiling away!  on occasion i will catch her trying to roll back to her tummy but her chunky monkey thighs get in the way!

grace LOVES attention, she needs to be entertained!  but if you do that for her she will smile and laugh for you! she loves it when jax plays with her, sings her songs, and her favorite when he does a little dance! but at a distance!  that is hard for jaxon, he wants to play with her so BADLY but hasn't figured out how to be soft!  she has the cutest little dimples and loves to show them off!  now that we have resolved her acid reflux situation she is a much happier baby! grace also loves when you sing pat-a-cake and this little piggy.  she loves to read books with jaxon as well.  grace loves her daddy! when he comes home she jsut stares at him untill he looks are her then she gets all giddy!  it is soo cute!

she has always noticed her hands since they are constantly in her mouth! she likes to chew, suck, play with her hands and fingers.  she even sucks her thumb! although it is very cute! but you can't take it away! so i am a little worried.......  she has recently discovered her feet.  she likes to play with them when she can lift them up long enough! again those chunky monkey thighs get in the way!  she also will now grab at toys and tries to eat them.

grace is such a doll and we are really enjoying her and watching her discover new things.  and her smile, giggle melts my heart everytime!

DELILA MAE grand opening!!!

10. Best food you've ever had while on vacation. we haven't been on a lot of "vacations" but any food is amazing when you don't have to cook or clean up!

jaxon is a big boy!

as many of you know, we have debated cutting jaxon's hair short for quit a while. we have trimmed it several times but finally decided that it was time to give him a GOOD trim. we started out shortening it a bit, but a wiggly toddler makes it hard so it got shorter and shorter! so here is jaxon's official BIG BOY HAIRCUT!! (sorry mom, it is not as exciting as you thought!)

i can't believe that my baby is 2 yrs old!!!! so much has happened in 2 years! it was weird this year for me because i was in the hospital with delivering jaxon's sister on his birthday! it was like reliving jaxon's birth all over again!

Jaxon has quit the personality and a great sense of humor. he LOVES anything with wheels especially tractors and trailers! he loves to run and play any sport. greg is starting him young in sports! he even loves to watch sports on tv, from golf to football to hockey! he loves it all! jaxon also love to sing and dance! if you ask him to sing a song it is either old mcdonald or if you ask him to sing ____(insert any name)________ song, he will sing (for example) "grace song sing grace song , mcdonald had a farm." ect.... he talks too much and mimicks anything you say way too much! he is a great big brother to grace and loves to help her. Jaxon also loves his papa and grandpa. he is a daddy's boy. he loves animals, especially cows and feeding them hay. he likes to watch animal planet with dad. he likes elmo/seaseme street and watching "i like to move it move it" ie : madagascar! he doesn't really have a favorite food, he likes it all! a special treat for him would be icecream, any candy, and gummy frogs!

he keeps us pretty entertained and trys our patience constantly but we LOVE him to death and i can't imagine life without him! i thank my heavenly father everyday for blessing me with such a great little boy! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MONKEY!!! WE LOVE YOU!!!!!

Happy 2nd Birthday JAXON!!!!!

Jaxon's b-day was actually 2 weeks ago. it was the day after grace was born so needless to say i was not in the position to have any celebrations for him that day. although several of the nurses knew it was his b-day and were great to either tell him happy birthday or sing to him.

i can't believe it has been 2 years since our lives have grown and changed for the better! my baby boy is no longer a baby and is turning into a "iddle boy" as he says it. he is such a joy in our lives and i can't imagine my life without him. jaxon never fails to make me smile and melt my heart. i get chocked up every time he says "i uv you momma" so happy birthday my sweet baby boy!!

we ended up celebrating it last mon with some friends and family. he had a good time with all his little friends, and was so excited all day that they were comming over. jaxon was deffinatly spoiled and got way to many presents! it was better then christmas!

jaxon has been a little scared of the tramp and he FINALLY got a little brave and jumped with all of his cousins!



one of the many things that day that jaxon was excited for was opening his presents. his BIG present for his birthday was a harley motorcycle inspired big wheel. it has blinkers lights and all sorts of sounds.

gregs family always makes such neat cakes for birthdays. i am not the best and need a lot of practice. my goal is to make several cakes before the next birthday and hopefully it will be as good as all the other sorenson cakes. this is my beginers cake. it didn't work out like i had hoped and expected. my cow that was going to eat the hay (the 3 yellow things) disappeared! so we had to improvise with the pig! jaxon loves to go with grandpa sorenson to feed the cows hay so that was the inspiration for his cake. patiently waiting for us to stop singing so that he could eat the cake! oh and he didn't appreciate his toys being on the cake and pulled them all off! FINALLY!!! he can blow out the candles and dig in!

Grace 2 weeks old

we had grace's 2 week check up the other day. we had our fingers crossed, hoping that she had gained enough weight. as much as i love being worried about making sure she ate when she was supposed to and enough, i would much rather know she is gaining and not have to do that! the dr said she is looking good. she had gained 4 more oz's since our last weight check. so good that she is continuing to gain weight but she is still not at her birth weight which is where the dr would like to see her at. she has been having a bout of reflux, at least that is what we hope it is and not a milk protein allergy like jaxon had!

2 week stats: 8 lbs 7 oz 57%

21.5 in. 90%

love/hate

i have a younger sister that has down syndrom. in ways she is on the same level as jaxon. because of that they have a very love/hate relationship. sometime they play so well together while other times they fight like cats and dogs! yet she is one of jaxon's favorite people. well this day they each got some candy and were sent outside to play. jaxon had a toddler friendly treat while dani had chocolate. all of a sudden they both run inside giggling. they are both COVERED in chocolate! hands, face, and clothes! i was just happy they were getting along so well and SHARING!
after i got pics of the 2 chocolate monsters, jax layed down and posed like this! i thought he was so cute and smart! he has learned to look cute and it is too hard to get mad at him! i mean seriously! look at that face! could you get mad at him!???

So far jaxon loves to help mommy take care of baby grace. he is very concerned for grace when she makes ANY noise and will run to give her her binkie, that is when he is not "borrowing" it! he throws away her dirty diapers and will get wipes and diapers when needed. he loves to help feed her as well. he is usually very persistant about helping. i hope he stays this helpful and loving towards his baby sister.

oh did i mention that we are MOVING BACK TO PROVO!!!! we will be moving back to our old house in provo by the end of the month! now if only greg could find a job we would be in business! of course i am thrilled however greg is a little bummed that there is no jobs in the koosharem area. still we are BACK!!!!!!

Grace 1 week old

our first day home went rather smoothly. grace slept a lot and was rather mello. i called the dr to make her 2 week apt. the nurse asked a bunch of questions, how is she sleeping, eating, how much is she eating, ect... after all was said and done she was concerned that she was sleeping too much and not eating often enough. she was eating about every 4-6 hours. well jaxon ate every 4-6 hours and it was never an issue. because when we left the hospital she was looking a little yellow that brought the concern with her eating. so the nurse told me that i needed to feed her at least every 2-3 hours. if grace didn't improve then i had to call in the next morning. needless to say that made for a very long sleepless night! the next morning i called in to see what counts as improvement. the nurse deccided that we needed to bring in baby for a weight check. just as we feared, she has lost 2.5 oz. in one day. not a good sign. so i had to continue to feed her every 2-3 hours even if i had to force her to eat or feed her with a syringe. we had to go back in 3 days to weigh her again.

i felt that after the 3 days grace had made a big improvement in her eating. she was eating more ofter as well as more food. yea! she had gained weight! although she was still less then when we left the hospital. but she is going in the right direction!

so i can remember, her weight went as follows: birth 6-11-09 - 8lbs 12oz

hospital discharge 6-15-09 - 8 lbs 4 oz

1st weight check 6-16-09 - 8lbs 1.5 oz

2nd weight check 6-19-09 - 8lbs 3 oz

over all she has been a great baby. she is getting more and more alert as each day comes. she LOVES her binkie, (in case you haven't noticed by the pictures!) just like jaxon. every once in a while jax will run off with it waiting to see if we hace noticed he is sucking on her binkie. she has a really good suck and can hold it in by her self very well! i hardly ever half to put it back in for her! she has her happy, content moments and her not so happy moments (greg and i call our kids angry elfs at these moments. from the movie elf).

she decides to be wide awake when it is time to go to bed and sleeps a lot during the day. she will sleep in her bed, couch, or floor untill it is time to go to bed then she will cry in her bed untill you hold her and then she falls sound asleep.

as a side note jaxon has continued to be as gentle as a 2 yr old can be and loves her to death! he has only had one jealous moment. one morning as he was asking to get out of bed and i was feeding grace. i told him that greg would come and get him out of bed. jaxon's reply to that was "no mommy, daddy hold baby, get me out!" i thought it was kinda cute they way he realized that i couldn't cause i was holding baby and that he wanted his mommy to get him out!

greg and jaxon have been gone for a couple days at his parents house. i have been in orem at my parents with grace. it has been great to just spend some one on one time with my new little girl. she has already been such a joy and i can't wait to continue to get to know her and watch her grow!

everything went well minus the nurse anesatists struggling with my spinal block (ya that was very unpleasant and that is putting it nicely!). grace did have some trouble with her breathing the first couple of hours. she was breathing very fast, which isn't that uncommon with a c-sec. then she has a bit of a heart murmor, it lasted about 3 days and then vanished. it lasted a bit longer then normal but at least all is well now!

She is perfect in everyway and we think she is pretty darn cute! she look exactly like her big brother when he was born except she has a much rounder face and blonde hair. speaking of big brother, he has been very good with her so far. the first thing he says when he comes to visit is " i want to see baby gwace!" or "where baby gwace?" he loves to "love" on her. he gives her lots of kisses and is very tender with her. his favorite part about her is her toes. he loves to play "this little piggy" with them.
